About the Artist

Chantal Denise Simić is an Austrian artist with Serbian roots. She is working within a practice ranging from metalwork, ceramics and painting to film making.

Starting out as a carpenter with a focus on interior planning, she has gone on to study Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee to further explore her sculptural abilities. Using natural materials such as clay and found objects she explores themes of death, post-apocalyptic times and abjection.
